Grand Rapids Joseph Taylor Police Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established by the Grand Rapids Police Department in memory of Officer Joseph F. Taylor, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1986. In his honor, annual scholarships will be given to students at GRCC. The first preference will be given to students enrolled in the GRCC Police Academy. If no Police Academy students are eligible, the second preference will be given to students obtaining a criminal justice degree at GRCC. Students must be meeting satisfactory academic progress as determined by the Financial Aid and be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
