Helen Beuker & Barb LaBelle Scholarship

This fund was established by the friends and former co-workers of Helen Beuker and Barb Labelle, both former professors of English at GRCC. This award will go to students who demonstrate an interest in at least 2 of these 3 areas of study; Literature, Women’s Studies, and Drama. Students must also have involvement in the following areas both on campus and/or in the community; theater involvement, writing, publication, and participation in women’s organizations. Students must have an overall GPA of a 3.0 or higher from all colleges attended, and must have completed 12 credit hours at any college. Eligible students will be required to turn in a transcript from all colleges attended, one written recommendation from a college professor and a persuasive essay of 500-1000 words indicating how the applicant qualifies for this scholarship.
