Jr. GIANT Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund awards from two (2) named funds:

Cedric Ward Kent Intermediate School District High School Leadership Scholarship – KISD high school senior only
Dr. Patricia Pulliam College Leadership Scholarship – college students only

The Jr. GIANT scholarships are named in honor of the founders of the GIANTS, Dr. Patricia Pulliam and Mr. Cedric Ward. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to working within urban core communities and who have actively advocated for positive change in these areas. Additionally, recipients must demonstrate how they possess the essence of a Junior GIANT: demonstrated leadership profile, community involvement and impact, academic and/or athletic accomplishment and academic achievement/academic progress. Recipients of the Cedric Ward
scholarship must have attended a high school in the Kent Intermediate School District. Recipients of the Dr. Patricia Pulliam scholarship must be an incoming or current college student. Final selection of award recipients will be made by the GIANTS’ committee. Recipients will be recognized at the annual GIANT Awards.

Each recipient will receive a scholarship to college/technical school of their choice. (Scholarship will be applied to the student’s account if they attend GRCC. For student’s not attending GRCC, a check will be made out and sent to the college of their choice.)
