Mary Scanlan Piano Scholarship
1. Any student who is either a piano major or intending to pursue a degree in music education with piano as a minor, in either private or group piano.
2. The student should have successfully completed the first semester of college level music theory/aural comprehension.
3. The student should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and be a full-time music major. Participation in one of the music department major ensembles is required.
4. In the case of a music education major whose primary instrument is not piano, an audition on the primary instrument can be substituted.
5. Scholarships will be awarded based on scholarship auditions which are held in the fall/spring of each year and rewards will be renewable as the long as the student maintains full-time enrollment status and a 3.0 GPA.
