Secchia Institute for Culinary Education (HED) Fund
This fund is established to be used as support and general enhancement of GRCC’s Secchia Institute for Culinary Education (SICE) in the following ways: student domestic competition, study-tour travel activities, matching funds for student club activities, culinary salon and ice carving competitions, conferences attended by students, $3, 000 annually to MRA ProStart, and high school seniors at technical education centers across the state of Michigan who demonstrate high academic achievement. This fund is available to all Secchia Institute for Culinary Education students who have achieved a minimum of 12 Secchia Institute for Culinary Education credits at GRCC, and who have achieved a minimum of a 2.0 GPA at the time of application. Regarding the travel portion, only domestic travel, sponsored by or in conjunction with Secchia Institute for Culinary Education, will be supported through this fund. Exceptions to these criteria must be approved by the donor which would be a vote by the then full-time faculty of the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education.
