Secchia Institute for Culinary Education Stage Alumni Fund

Secchia Institute for Culinary Education Stage Alumni Fund

This fund was established by the faculty in the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education department. The purpose is to establish a staging program with former SICE students so they can continue to learn and grow in their chosen field OR have a former SICE graduate return back to Grand Rapids Community College to speak to current students.

1. Former SICE students from around the world have been chosen to participate by accepting a fellow SICE chef in their kitchens to work side by side with them to teach them about their specific sector of industry. The recipient must be a former student of GRCC’s SICE program and have been working for a minimum of three years in the industry. The chef hosting the stage must also be a former SICE student. The hosting chef would allow the intern to stage in their establishment.

2. A returning alumnus would speak to our current students about their experiences in the hospitality field. The alumni must have been working in the industry for a minimum of three years in the industry. The alumni will participate in demonstrations.
