David M. Schieber Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created by the Sparta High School Class of 1970 at their 45th class reunion, in honor of their classmate, David “Dave” Schieber. Dave become one of Kent County’s most successful prosecutors, winning many newsworthy cases over 28 years. He was well respected by his peers, defense attorneys, and judges. Sadly, Dave succumbed to cancer in 2009. This scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors from Sparta High School who attend GRCC full-time in the fall semester after graduating from Sparta High School. Students must have a 2.5 GPA and preference will be given to students with financial need.
