Jim & Winnie Fox Scholarship

This fund was established by Winnie Fox in memory of her husband Jim. Two scholarships at $1,500 each will be awarded to incoming freshmen. An award will be given to one full-time male student and one full-time female student, each having maintained a minimum of a 2.75 GPA in high school. Their plans should include continuing their education at a 4-year institution and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in teaching at the secondary or middle school levels. The area of interest for the female recipient should be in the business field, and the area of interest for the male recipient should be in the physical education field. For the male recipient, preference will be given to someone that has participated on the basketball team at the high school level and participated in other high school sports. Both recipients must also have been involved while in high school in extra-curricular activities and maintained some type of leadership role. As long as the recipient meets the GPA criteria, the scholarship will be renewable annually until the recipient graduates from GRCC. If possible, award 2 male and 2 female.
