Leslie E. Tassell Scholarship Fund

Scholarships will be available to Meridian Automotive Systems Grand Rapids employees who have been employed for at least two years at any of the plants and have enrolled in a course or classes in one of the curriculum areas outlined below. Scholarship awards for each recipient will be $200 per semester. Any cost incurred by an employee that exceeds the $400 per year scholarship award will be reimbursed to the employee through the Company’s Reimbursement Program.
Five full-ride $2,400 scholarships will also be available (on an annual basis) to dependents of employees who have attained a minimum 2.5 GPA and intend to major in one of the following curriculums: Mechanical Drafting, Automated Manufacturing, Computer Applications or Electronics, Electronics Technology, Industrial Technology & Tooling, Plastics Technology, Chemical Technology or Quality Science. All $2,400 scholarships are renewable by employees and first preference will be given to employee’s dependents. Any remaining $2,400 scholarships will be awarded to other deserving GRCC students who have met the guidelines above.
