ASL Interpreter Career Launch

This scholarship was established by Voices for Health, which has long been dedicated to improving language access in healthcare, education and social services. In response to the ongoing and severe shortage of sign language interpreters, this scholarship reflects a commitment to supporting future providers and educators in better serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full or part-time (four $1,000 scholarships for full-time students and two $500 scholarships for part-time students), be taking at least one ASL course, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. In addition, applicants must submit a 300-word essay describing what inspired their interest in learning American Sign Language.
